As of 1st September, Michiel Buitelaar is appointed CEO of CX Company. Dirk Jan Dokman (co-founder) will assume the position of Chief Commercial Officer. Jaap van Gent (co-founder) will step down from the executive board and assume the position of member of the Supervisory Board. Jeroen Brouwers (co-founder) will remain in his positon as Chief Technology Officer.
This change in the executive leadership team of CX Company is the result of careful consideration of many factors across the business. The impact of CX Company’s high growth strategy, the pace of and demand for technological advancement in Artificial Intelligence and expected market dynamics, and the leadership needs of the company all played a part in this decision. All three co-founders reached the conclusion that this requires additional competences to be brought into the leadership of the business.
The founders are proud to have found Michiel Buitelaar to strengthen the leadership team with his vast experience in high growth, high-paced digital and technology-driven, international organisations.
With this new addition to the team, Jaap van Gent expressed the desire to pursue additional ventures and professional ambitions outside of CX Company. As a result, he has chosen to resign from the daily management responsibilities as CCO. He remains actively involved with the company’s future as member of the Supervisory Board, who welcomes his experience. Dirk Jan Dokman will assume the role of Chief Commercial Officer, where his heart and strengths lie. Jeroen Brouwers will continue as CTO of the company.
Dirk Jan Dokman, founder CX Company on this change:
” I’m proud to announce that we have found an experienced, smart and down to earth guy who has accepted the CEO role. From today, Michiel Buitelaar is appointed as CEO and will lead CX Company into a next phase of growth. Michiel has an impressive background: he was a board member of Ben, KPN, Endemol and was COO at Sanoma. He is seen as one of the leading digital thinkers in the Netherlands so we are very proud he wants to join CX Company and contribute to our success. Despite all of these changes in the board right now, we will continue to execute our existing strategy: proving our business model in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands through direct sales and partnerships; showing the market how DigitalCX can support Customers to get their job done. Once we have proven our technology in these three countries, we aim to expand even further – but for now, full focus is on revenue growth in NL, DACH and the UK.
The sad news is that our co-founder and CCO Jaap has decided to leave the daily management of our company. My relationship with Jaap goes back decades and extends beyond our professional lives. Although it is sad to end our close cooperation of many years, with all the highs and lows that come with it, Jaap and I are both looking forward to continuing our partnership in this new setting. I’m grateful for the many great years working with Jaap and I would like to thank him for his huge contributions to our company. Jaap will resign as CCO on September 15th, but we are very pleased he will join our Supervisory team.”
Michiel Buitelaar on his new role:
“I am excited and honoured that the shareholders of CX have asked me to join CX as CEO. I have known the company and its founders for a couple of years: their product is fantastic, the strategy is sound, and the culture is unique. I am thrilled to be working in such an advanced market, for this company.”
